1.     Describe the overall composition of your artwork (balance, unity, rhythm and movement).
This work has a lot of positive and negative space.  The balance between what was cut out and what was left on was equal.  It looks like the fish is swimming deeper and deeper into the water.

2.     How did you add texture and contrast to your print? Is this important? Why?
The texture made the animal come alive and and pop out at you which makes it easier to see.  This is important because if it didn't it would look very plain.

3.     Explain how you used positive and negative space to show your image.
I used the positive and negative space very effectively because I made it so the water would be a background and the fish and seaweed would be the foreground.

4.     Describe the craftsmanship of your print. (How good the project is technically crafted)
This project was clean and quick to do.  All you had to do was cut out areas on a lino cut and then put ink on it and put it on paper.

5.     Were you able to achieve depth by showing a foreground, middle ground and back- ground? Explain.
Yes because I made the fish the foreground, the seaweed the middle ground, and the water is the background.

6.     Explain your experience with Printmaking. What were the obstacles and advantages?
This is the first time I've ever done this project and it was fun.  My obstacles were picking out what animal to do because I the few I chose I really liked.  Some advantages were I am a neat person which helped make this project easier.

1. Why is texture so important to have in your sketches?
It is important because it allows you to see the way the animal would feel.  Also you can see the background and how it relates to the animal.  Lastly it makes the animal more realistic.

2. Why is it necessary for you to have several references of each animal and each background? Explain.
It gives a variety of views to chose from.  It also gives you a better understanding of how the animal and background look.  It lastly helps you look for the animals texture.

3. When you look at your sketches are you able to see which sketch is the strongest and will make the best print? How do you know this?
Yes because you can tell which textures are better then others.  Also it will give a cool looking texture to make the animal look alive.

1. Explain your experience working on a team and executing your ideas for the mural.
At first we didn't know what to do for this project so we started just making up random ideas.  I came up with two ideas that were pretty good but not that great.  We worked together and after everyday we could tell a lot of progress was being made from all of our hard work.

2. Explain the importance of collaboration when working on a team.
Working as a team was important because it taught us to work together and the value of hard work.  We would take turns on who was doing what work .  We would also give our group members constructive criticism.

3.  How successful was this project? Explain how and why.
This project was very successful and I had a fun time doing it.  It was fun because I enjoy doing big long projects.  This project was successful because we worked as a team and made a great oiece of art.

4. Explain how you feel about creating artwork that others can interact with. Ex. Involving the whole school?
It feels great to make something the whole school can use and enjoy.  I think that the school will really like this.  Everyone made one of these and everyones is different and unique in many ways.
