1. Explain the process you went through to develop your drawing.
First we had a picture of someone and we would trace their outline onto the the paper. Then we would lightly draw shapes of where the lights and darks were different. Then lastly we shaded the areas based on the picture and our value scale.
2. Explain how you found the different values in the portrait?
We took the picture and we would draw shapes based on where the light was and where it wasnt. Then we took those and drew them on the paper which we traced the ooutline of the person.
3. Did you achieve a full range of the different values within your portrait? How?
Yes because we looked at our value scale and almost half the face was a darker shade while the other half was a light shade. It was difficult to get the right shade for the whole face.
4. Describe your craftsmanship. Is the artwork executed and crafted neatly?
I worked hard and took my time to make this look the best that I could do. For the most part it is neat but there was a couple of spots I could have cleaned up.
5. List any obstacles you had to overcome and how you dealt with them.
Some obstacles that I had to overcome was time and the darkness of shading. This project was time consuming and I finished at almost the last minute. The darkness of shading was hard because you had to get it the right value or it looked bad.
